About the role

The EdUK Compliance Team are responsible for ensuring that all departments operate ethically, and that all of its staff and businesses adhere to OUP’s Code of Conduct and Ethical Policies.

This role will support the Compliance Manager in the management of the Compliance Programme. This will include the support with the Compliance Framework, monitoring, regulatory reporting, and overseeing other regulated activities such as incident and report tracking. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy proactively working with team members to problem solve and ensure that all risks are mitigated.

 Responsibilities will include to: 

  • Support the Compliance Manager in the Compliance Strategy implementation communications channels, systems and streamlining processes to assist the business with the Compliance Programme.
  • Coordinate meetings, travel and new starters inductions as well as reviewing and updating  Compliance documents such as the  Approval Matrix and administrating relevant Compliance registers.
  • Organise and coordinate Compliance events such as the Compliance conference, training sessions and team meetings.
  • Support the Compliance Manager with confidentiality meetings around investigations and produce incident reports and ensure that the incident log is maintained accurately.
  • Assist the compliance team by tracking actions points and recommendations from meetings and to ensure timely implementation of requirements and with preparation of Compliance reports.
  • Assist the Compliance Manager with Compliance initiatives by communicating to the team and the business with the latest information and working with the team to ensure this is embedded into current practices.
  • Manage the Compliance Mailbox, support and develop the Compliance Sharepoint site, including the documentation so that the site holds all relevant compliance information.
  • Assist with creating of presentations as briefed to facilitate the conducting of training and briefing sessions.

About you

The successful candidate will have: 

  • Legal or relevant qualification or experience.
  • Knowledge of UK Bribery Act.
  • Ability to work as part of a global, cross-cultural team.
  • Good analytical skills and proven ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Proactive disposition and demonstrate tenacity in effectively supporting the team whilst also being able to work independently.
  • Conscientious, accurate and methodical approach to workload and other Compliance requirements.


  • Previous knowledge and experience in Compliance and working in business role.
