About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized self-starter to join as a Database and Mailings Coordinator.  Reporting to the Senior Automation and Segmentation Specialist, you will maintain customer data and provide expert advice, data selection services and support to the GA marketing teams.

This position is a great opportunity for candidates interested in a varied and busy role which provides fundamental support to a marketing team.

Responsibilities will include to:

  • Undertake day to day maintenance of details in GA UK direct marketing databases to ensure our customer data is as complete and up to date as possible and complies with all relevant legislation, eg data protection laws.
  • Initiate and undertake activities, in partnership with marketing teams, to grow, develop and enhance customer data sets.
  • Provide advice on the use of customer data for direct marketing, using knowledge and experience to segment databases and provide marketing with accurate target lists for direct marketing campaigns.
  • Advise on, and organise, all data aspects of direct marketing campaigns.
  • Provide training and advice on the data aspects of  direct marketing activity to equip marketing teams with the knowledge necessary to plan their campaigns.
  • Undertake other miscellaneous tasks as required to ensure prompt and effective communication with internal and external customers, and the smooth running of GA UK’s CRM systems and processes.

Please note: this is a fixed term (maternity cover) contract for 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent time-management, solid organisation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and strong numeracy.
  • Ability to work proactively and liaise effectively with colleagues in various marketing and operations teams.
  • Experience of using MSOffice, and specifically, intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • General computer literacy and ability to quickly learn and use new systems/software packages.
  • Experience of working with databases and data, preferably customer/transaction data.
  • Knowledge/awareness of direct marketing legislation.


  • Basic direct marketing/data management qualifications or training.
  • Previous experience in a direct marketing and/or mailing environment.
  • Previous experience of working with large datasets/databases of customer information.
