Designer

The Education Division (EDUK) provides books and resources across Primary, Secondary, Trade and Children's markets, both for the UK and for customers around the world. We are passionately committed to our mission to educate and inspire.

About the role

This is an exciting role for a Designer within the Primary design team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about design and who has the ability to come up with new, fresh ideas to engage and inspire our customers. Our team produces print and digital products for schools, with support you will plan and manage illustration and photo commissioning on your own projects.

This is a busy, highly creative and diverse role that will give the right candidate the opportunity to progress their career as a designer, to work with existing award winning brands and to be part of the team that creates new ones.

In a typical day you will be involved in producing page layouts, templates and cover designs, creating brand and marketing collateral and commissioning children's illustration for print and digital products.

About you

You must be a creative thinker with a proven track record for producing first-class designs, as well as having strong typographic skills as demonstrated by a portfolio of work.

You must have full knowledge of the design process, and be fully proficient in Adobe CC. You will have excellent communication skills, as well as good organisation and time-management skills.
