Director of Education Services

Our Oxford Education (OE) division seeks a Director of Education Services to bring expertise in leading the divisional vision and strategy for Assessment, Professional Development and Impact educational services. You’ll lead and build the strategy, infrastructure and capabilities required by OE to deliver successful, distinctive and competitive educational services worldwide. Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing and overseeing all aspects of our assessment strategy, plans, products and operations
  • Directing and overseeing all aspects of our professional development strategy, products, services and provision
  • Lead on product impact globally for the Press
  • Shape the global and business unit sales and marketing plans for assessment and professional development, working closely with the business units
  • Identifying new channels and partnerships to increase the reach and footprint of the OE offering for assessment

About You

To be successful in this role with require collaborative relationships, and the highest standards of professional and ethical business practices. You’ll also have the following:

  • Working technical understanding and experience in developing and managing Assessment products and services, including the psychometric elements, assessment delivery and risk management.
  • Experience and understanding of how instructional models, pedagogy and product design affect classroom practice and impact on the learner and teacher.
  • Commercial success in developing and delivering services for education, including assessment and professional development.
  • Proven team leadership, management, negotiating, and influencing skills at a senior level, with strong financial management skills.
  • Proven partnership development and stakeholder management in the Assessment, Professional Development or Impact fields, at an international level.
  • Experience in leading, motivating and providing strategic direction to large, matrixed global teams, underpinned by an understanding of different educational domains, markets and product contexts.
  • Experience in effecting change and influencing high-level stakeholders in shifting to new ways of working
  • Experience in working in a complex global matrix structure
