As Ethics and Compliance Advisor, you’ll be working as part of a global team in the management of the ethics and compliance programme, specifically partnering with our English Language Teaching (ELT) division. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your career in ethics and compliance, work across a number of different markets internationally, and build a strong understanding of how to promote an ethical business culture.
Key responsibilities:
Ensure the division has appropriate guidance, procedures and resources in place.
Identify training opportunities and take an active role in delivery, including our annual exercises.
Support in maintaining on-going and annual risk assessments, identify due diligence requirements and support in completing the applicable checks on third parties.
Support the team in leading reviews to ensure adequate internal controls are in place.
Ensure relevant records related to risk assessments, due diligence, communication and training are maintained.
Support the achievement of KPIs and compilation of quarterly and annual reports.
Ensure conflicts of interest are mitigated in accordance with Group policies.
Partner with managers to ensure the division meets the overall OUP ethics and compliance agenda.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
With some ethics and compliance experience already, or experience in a related field dealing with risk, alongside sensitive and confidential information, you’ll have a good understanding of risk and the types of processes/controls to mitigate risk. You’ll also have:
Strong administrative and analytical skills.
Proven ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks to successfully meet deadlines.
A proactive manner and tenacity in effectively supporting a team whilst also being able to work independently to deliver to deadlines.
Strong relationship management skills to help facilitate a proactive and effective compliance-to-business relationship.
