Head of Content Management

English Language Teaching is a global division, with over 1300 employees based across 40 countries. The division’s purpose is to help the world learn English. By providing the world’s leading English language learning resources we help teachers and learners to achieve their potential.

About the Role

This exciting new role will play an important role in influencing the future of our increasingly digital range of products, and is responsible for developing, directing and implementing the content management strategy for the ELT division.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Content Management strategy for ELT that furthers the delivery of effective key enablers to the Product Management and overarching ELT strategy
  • Set the strategy for and oversee the creation and implementation of common content schemas, metadata schemas, content creation frameworks and content format standards for content assets
  • Set the strategy for and oversee the implementation of efficient and effective storage and management of content assets
  • Ensure that all content-related programmes and initiatives are governed effectively
  • Ensure that the Content Management team collaborates effectively across the business
  • Manage a team of up to 8 people with up to 3 direct reports.

About You

You will have an organised approach to your work with the ability to communicate, collaborate and influence effectively. You will also have the following:

Essential:

  • Experience of recruiting, leading, motivating and developing a team of specialists
  • In-depth knowledge of content management principles
  • Experience of working with content creation tools, ideally for both print and digital publishing
  • Extensive experience of working with structured content and schemas in a leadership role
  • Successful track record in developing and delivering strategic plans
  • Successful track record in delivering significant change
  • Project and programme management experience that has involved resource planning and the setting and management of budgets.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within the ELT sector.
