Marketing Campaign Manager: Primary Literacy

The Education Division provides resources and services across Primary, Secondary & Vocational education, Children’s fiction and Home Learning, both for the UK and for customers around the world. We are passionately committed to our mission to help educate and inspire all children and to support teachers and parents.

We are seeking a Marketing Campaign Manager to lead on the implementation and evaluation of marketing plans for educational resources and services. The post holder will work closely with publishing, sales and other departments to ensure that we are in the best position to maximise sales and increase market share.

Key responsibilities will include -

  • Supporting your manager in devising, delivering and monitoring integrated marketing campaigns, taking a logistical lead, to ensure marketing activity is effective and generates maximum return on investment.
  • Working collaboratively with publishers, sales managers and other functions from initial concept to publication, and throughout the life of the product, contributing to the development of commercially successful resources.
  • Assisting in analysing customer and market information, and prepare campaign reports to inform sales and marketing plans and to feed into resource decision making.
  • Assisting with the development of sales revenue, backorders and adoption targets, to ensure business targets are met or exceeded.
  • Helping foster team work throughout the sales and marketing and other functions to ensure a collaborative and knowledgeable approach to working practice.
  • Delegating, managing and monitoring work set to internal staff and external agencies/freelancers, with the support of your manager, in order to deliver plans effectively and on schedule.
  • Managing expenditure so plans are delivered within budget.
  • With support from your manager, managing marketing projects, as needed, ensuring our marketing outputs remain competitive and in line with market need.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working in marketing across all channels and/or publishing
  • Experience of managing a budget
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team working skills
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail

It is desirable if you have:

  • Marketing qualification (e.g. CIM) or certifications from Google, Facebook, Hootsuite etc.
  • Experience of creating digital content including webinars and videos
  • Experience building and managing social media communities
  • Experience using Analytics Tools to manage and plan campaigns
  • Knowledge of the schools market
