Master Data and Query Resolutions Team Leader - FTC

About the Role

NB. This is a FTC / Secondment position to cover maternity leave for 12 months.

As the Master Data Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team in all aspects of maintenance of the sales ledger from on boarding of new customers through to managing automated collection runs, query resolutions and supporting the outsourced support functions in the Credit and Collections service in a Centre of Excellence environment, and in line with agreed SLA’s.  You will develop and implement policies and procedures with the UK business to support the Credit and collections team to ensure the prompt collection of customer payments to maximize cash inflow and minimize bad debts.

This role is a full-time position managing a team of two.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the set up and approval of new credit sale customers
  • Manage high volume query resolution with both internal and external clients
  • Build and maintain good relationships with key contacts in the business to ensure open dialogue and timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure accurate and up to date customer records are in place for the UK sales ledger
  • Produce timely, accurate and consistent reporting for keys areas of the team set against agreed KPI’s and SLA’s
  • Manage the Outsource service providers for the Credit and collections team. Ensuring all SLA’s are kept to by both parties
    • Hold regular team meetings
    • Develop and monitor relevant policies and working standards for the team
    • Recruitment, motivation, development and management of the performance of the team so that it delivers to target, standards, policies and procedures and continuously improves performance in line with

About You

You will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of working in a shared service and/or Centre of Excellence environment.
  • In-depth understanding of credit management with emphasis on management of OTC Finance Master data
  • Experience of dealing with large volumes in a multi-currency environment.
  • Commitment to delivering key tasks to deadlines set to meet business and customer needs
  • Awareness of meaningful metrics to use to manage team resources and to report on team and business performance.
