Media Manager (6 months fixed term contract)

About the Role

NB This is a fixed term contract for a minimum period of 6 months.

The Media Manager is to provide artistic direction in all aspects of image creation both still (illustration commissions, photo research and photo commissions) and moving (video and animation) in order to deliver customer-focused visual assets for ELT content to agreed schedules and market requirements. This role is also responsible for managing external suppliers and ensure they are adequately supported in order to deliver a programme of customer-focused integrated solutions that promote the teaching of English more effectively than competitor and maximize return on investment whilst remaining consistent with the Division’s Strategic Objectives and OUP’s Mission Success Factors.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience of professional art editing / art buying; and animation skills in a publishing environment desirable.
  • Knowledge of all areas of video production, including production and post-production desirable
  • Experience of managing projects involving image (moving and still) creation
  • Experience in outsourcing, including negotiating fees and managing budgets
  • Experience in creating digital product and an understanding of XML, HTML5, CSS desirable
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CC, MS Office, After Effects and Video Editing applications desirable
