Recruitment Partner, Technology (Fixed Term Contract)

The OUP executive team has set an exciting strategy of transformation for technology and have numerous high profile technology projects and programs being driven in 2019.  To this effect, there will be a high number of key new technology roles to be recruited in the immediate term, many of which are business critical and to this effect, are seeking a specialist IT recruiter to support these recruiting efforts for a period of 6 months.  Roles to be recruited for include project managers, solution architect business analysts, ERP, cloud and infrastructure.

As a specialist IT recruiter with significant experience across a number of technology verticals, you will be able to hit the ground running to deliver the agenda of transformation in the technology group at OUP. Your role will be to ensure all sourcing channels are fully leveraged in order to deliver high quality talents for OUP within the agreed timelines. You will have built an extensive network of technology professionals and will possess a depth of knowledge as to the tech sector that would allow you to have robust conversations with senior level candidates.

You will deliver diverse shortlists of talent via direct sourcing, leveraging the latest sourcing techniques to find technical talents in a highly competitive market. You will be experienced driving candidate sourcing initiatives using search engines, deep-web Boolean searching, engineering social networks, etc. You will be able to identify efficient sourcing strategies & channels globally and host recruiting events as necessary. You will be experienced driving social media campaigns and leveraging hiring opportunities such as industry conferences, Meet Up group hiring or other unique methods.

As a Recruitment Partner, you’ll be engaged and involved in making sure that OUP offers the best candidate and hiring manager experience.  You’ll be accountable for coaching candidates and managers through the end to end attraction to hire process, ensuring that we’re not only delivering a great experience, but making sure that we remain compliant with local legislation and best practice. 

You will be able to build and manage relationships with both passive and active candidates: sharing the OUP story and advocating for OUP’s employer brand.

You will be able to define or leverage workforce plans to understand recruitment priorities. You be required to manage and prioritize multiple searches, projects and client relationships and can work to tight deadlines when volumes are high whilst maintaining a high quality approach.

You will have a nose for talent and will be able to assess and screen with a high degree of expertise.

You’ll also work as part of a wider operational recruitment team in optimizing our investment recruitment processes, analysing resourcing data and building the capability of the various different stakeholders to help promote our culture of helping people managers to be self-sufficient.

Skills Required:

  • Significant experience in the IT recruitment arena either agency or in-house or both
  • Adept at direct sourcing and driving candidate sourcing initiatives using search engines, deep-web Boolean searching, engineering social networks, etc.
  • Experience driving social media campaigns and organizing event hiring
  • Experience in a high volume recruitment environment and ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong assessment capability
  • Behavioural interviewing experience
  • A strong delivery and results orientation and an execution excellence mind-set
  • Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities
