Regional Sales Manager - Midlands (Field based)

About the Role

In conjunction with all members of the sales management team, the role of the Regional Sales Manager is to ensure that budgeted sales growth for UK Primary Home sales is achieved through the effective management of the regional team.

Duties will include to:

  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a team of Educational Sales Consultants in order to ensure their optimum productivity and professionalism as a sales team.
  • Devise, develop, and implement sales strategies for primary publishing in order to increase sales and establish a strong position in the market.
  • Monitor sales budgets and forecasts for the sales team in order to ensure all sales targets are met, and overheads kept in control.
  • Advise on product development and educational trends to ensure that new publishing and marketing campaigns are informed by the most up to date market intelligence; are correctly positioned in the market; and fulfill market needs
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage a sales territory as if it were your own business.

Please note: this role is field based in the Midlands territory, with some travel to the Oxford office required.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Aptitude as a good team player who can also demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK schools market.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Advanced presentation skills.
  • Experience of setting and monitoring targets.

Desirable:

  • Proven ability as a field sales manager.
