Sales Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)

The OUP Academic Division publishes a wide range of books and digital resources for the academic research, professional, higher education and general trade markets.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated administrator to join the sales department, working with the UK and Europe sales teams on print and eBooks.

In addition to dealing with a wide variety of ad hoc customer queries, you will be responsible for:

  • arranging special customer orders.
  • managing customer admin such as returns requests and ebook statements.
  • assisting with the distribution and invoicing process for eBooks.
  • loading customer information to sales systems.
  • providing regular reports, sales analysis and general admin support for the UK and Europe sales teams.
  • liaising with internal departments including Finance and Distribution
  • delivering a high level of service both to customers and internal colleagues.

Please note, this is a fixed term contract of 51 weeks.

About you

The successful candidate will need:

  • the ability to juggle a busy and varied workload.
  • a high level of computer literacy and proficiency.
  • excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • excellent organisation and communication skills
  • a good telephone manner.
  • an eye for detail.
  • to enjoy working as part of a team.

Experience working in a commercial environment would be an advantage but is not essential and if you have the above qualities, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is based in our offices in central Oxford.
