Senior Marketing Executive - Journals

About the role

The Journals Product Marketing team is seeking a talented, creative, and highly organised marketer to work across a portfolio of high profile public health journals. This is an excellent opportunity for a digitally minded candidate who is interested in further developing strategic marketing experience and client management skills. Working autonomously across global teams, you will take full ownership of the marketing that is delivered.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategic marketing plans through to execution via integrated campaigns in order to drive online usage, encourage high quality submissions, and build brand and profile.

Typical activities would include:

  • Creating strategic journal marketing plans for each title on the list
  • Relationship and client management, communicating with external clients by email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings
  • Implementing  digital marketing campaigns using the full range of tools and techniques, including Pay-Per-Click (PPC), email marketing, social media channels, and online advertising
  • Coordinating the design and print of marketing materials
  • Representing OUP and the journal brands at conferences and board meetings
  • Effectively set and managing a budget
  • Campaign planning, analysis, and preparation of marketing reports
  • Liaising with regional marketing colleagues to coordinate global cross-list campaigns

About you

To be able to thrive in this role you will have experience of marketing campaign planning and implementations as well as:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills, and a proven ability to build strong relationships
  • Be well organized and have the time-management skills to be able to prioritize a challenging workload
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, be creative and generate ideas for your own campaigns
