  • Responsibility for the thought leadership strategy for your markets, establishing our position on key issues and leading the communications.
  • A data-led approach to analysing market trends and segmentation to inform sales and marketing strategies and to generate high quality leads.
  • A focus on digital marketing best practice, to capitalise on new opportunities and develop existing capabilities.
  • Driving new business development through identifying opportunities, proposing strategies and directing marketing projects, both for your markets and for the wider business.
  • Initiating and negotiating new partnerships within your markets, and managing and developing existing partnerships.
  • Ownership of market and product brand strategies, leading brand development across the functions and guardianship of sector brand values and visual identity.
  • Working with Sales and Publishing on the development of revenue, market share and other key targets, to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Proposing, directing and managing the marketing budgets for your markets, allocating resources of time, people and money to maximise efficiency and to ensure that commercial objectives are met.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of marketing at a senior level – coupling creative flair with an ability to deliver
  • Team management experience with excellent leadership and negotiation skills
  • Experience of setting and leading marketing strategy – with expertise on the digital side
  • Experience of leading business initiatives and project management
  • Strong entrepreneurial skills and ability to form partnerships – a proactive self-starter
  • Knowledge of the education sector – a proven interest in education
  • Data-literate, with an ability to analyse trends and generate actionable insights
  • Experience of setting and managing budgets
