The Privacy Co-ordinator will work on case-managing requests from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights, principally subject access requests, opt outs and deletion requests. The role will also take day to day responsibility for monitoring, managing, triaging and responding to emails into the shared team mailbox. The role will also be required to support with gathering metrics into a Power BI dashboard.
Key responsibilities:
Managing the Privacy and Data Protection Team email inbox and triaging enquiries to ensure they are prioritised appropriately and resolved wither by responding directly, directing to another appropriate internal resources, or escalating to another member of the Privacy team.
Coordinate the investigation and resolution of data protection queries and complaints, and freedom of information requests
Ensure individuals’ data protection rights are satisfied in compliance with data protection laws, including rights to information, of access, to rectification and to erasure
Ensure that all data is handled in the correct manner when dealing with individuals’ exercising their data protection rights
Work with internal stakeholders (including technology, platform, sales and marketing teams) to co-ordinate the timely identification, extraction, redaction, deletion of personal data as required
Work with internal stakeholders (including technology and cyber/information security teams) to co-ordinate the timely identification, reporting, logging, investigation and resolution of personal data breaches.
Capture and collate statistical information and performance metrics related to privacy and data protection compliance.
Keep abreast of evolving regulatory updates in the area of privacy and data protection and share as needed.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 5 days per month in the Oxford office for this role.
Please note: This is a 6 months fixed term contract - part time (18 hours per week).
