We are seeking a Data Analyst professional to join the collaborative FP&A team with our Group Finance Function.
The FP&A Data Analyst will support the FP&A team to deliver insights to all areas of the business using Power BI, creating data models that are then analysed and transformed into insights through reports, dashboards and Excel files.
You will be a key part of the divisional reporting team, helping to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements, whilst suggesting, advising and demonstrating solutions.
This role is responsible for monitoring data and reporting performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
Understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Build reports, dashboards and Excel files as required to provide insight across the business, using primarily finance data.
Supply ideas and suggestions that enable users to discover insights from financial data, whilst supporting the adoption of best practice.
Identify new data sources or additional data points that can be used to support business decision making.
Propose how the data can be interrogated for reporting and creating new reporting and insight from it
Create and maintain data models for use by FP&A professionals, ensuring they are an accurate representation of source data.
Facilitate the creation of data and reporting standards, including its documentation, such as defining standard calculations and custom visualisation measures.
Monitoring the quality of data in the data models, working to identify and resolve errors with other business units.
Reviewing and documenting reporting processes, identifying areas for automation and developing solutions to reduce the number of manual data tasks
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
