About the Role
Oxford University Press is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Global Assessment Operations Director to drive efficiency, scalability, and innovation in our rapidly growing English language assessment business.
The role will oversee the end-to-end assessment operation, ensuring seamless execution across different functions, and enabling expansion into new markets. It will drive transformation by leveraging automation & AI-driven efficiencies, streamlining global processes, and embedding continuous improvement to ensure efficient and cost-effective processes and systems.
The Global Assessment Operations Director will lead a high-performing team, managing regional and functional leads to drive operational excellence at scale, whilst ensuring close alignment with sales strategies.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
Essential:
Proven experience leading global operations and driving global-scale operational excellence in assessments, EdTech, or digital services.
Strong expertise and experience in large-scale digital transformations and automation.
Experience managing complex, multi-regional operations, with a focus on standardization and efficiency.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
Excellent knowledge of test security, compliance, delivery models and quality control in high-stakes assessment delivery.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working cross-functionally.
Experience leading AI-driven process automation.
Desirable:
Experience leading AI-driven test content production
