International Sales Support Manager

About the Role

As our new International Sales Support Manager, you will lead our sales support activities and drive operational improvements within the International Education sales team, ultimately contributing to increasing sales revenue.

The sales support function contributes practical and technical elements of the sales process, and tasks are varied in complexity and scope. This role will drive improvements in sales processes within the International Education Sales team, whilst managing a growing team of Sales Support co-ordinators. In addition to the standard sales support activities, you will be responsible for driving process changes to increase efficiency across school, branch and trade sales supporting activities, and activities and workload across the sales support team.

This role will initially manage 2 Sales Support co-ordinators and matrix manage 2 additional support roles, with potential growth in sales support co-ordinator roles.

You will be responsible for:

  • Process Efficiency & Improvement – Lead efforts to enhance sales support processes, document, review, and update workflows related to dropshipments, pricing, stock movements, and MSP relationships.
  • Sales Support Team Management – Oversee a team of coordinators, guide their development, and ensure optimal support for the international sales function.
  • Bid Coordination – Manage documentation and review processes for sales opportunities to ensure timely and successful submissions.
  • Branch & Channel Sales Support – Handle stock movements, dropshipments, and local stock communications while driving efficiency improvements in collaboration with demand planning and production.
  • School Sales Support – Support the U.S. school team with administrative tasks, compliance processes, stock requests, and annual pricing activities.
  • Third-Party Reseller Support – Manage new reseller accounts, onboarding processes, pricing approvals, margin calculations, and communication with credit control and customer service teams.
  • Reporting & Data Management – Develop accurate sales reports, coordinate reporting processes with sales managers, and collaborate across departments for relevant information.
  • Sales Conferences & Meetings – Organize logistics for conferences and other internal events.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Ensure alignment and integration of processes with other OUP divisions.
  • Ethical & Professional Standards – Uphold corporate values, compliance, and governance standards while representing OUP internationally.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

  • Commercial experience and skills operating within a sales/operations team
  • Experience improving processes and making changes to benefit business
  • Experience training others on processes/other
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively
  • Management experience is desirable
  • Can ideally demonstrate a track record of successfully supporting and driving revenue growth in an international sales environment
