In this role you will assist OUP’s Real Estate and Workplace Centre of Excellence, which covers Facilities, Real Estate, HSSE and BCP activities within the business. The role is primarily to assist in providing robust strategic asset management including, master planning, governance, external partner(s) management, project coordination and day-to-day support for its residential (c160no) and small commercial (c.10no) investment portfolio (c.£3m rental income). This role includes managing capital improvements 5-year programme(s) for the properties (c.£0.5m) and is involved in provision of OUP’s business support services to enhance and maximize the effectiveness of the business.
Key accountabilities:
Manage the strategic delivery of active residential and small commercial portfolio in alignment with wider Real Estate and Workplace strategy and objectives.
Manage and maintain ongoing capital refurbishment 5-year programme and lifecycle schedules for residential and small commercial portfolio.
Co-ordinate and facilitate the delivery of minor and major planned refurbishment projects.
Manage external business partners on the residential and small commercial to ensure best-in-class service delivery, including KPIs, SLAs, legislative changes.
Key focus on continuous improvement, including maximise return on investment and minimising risks.
Assist in preparation of financial budgets (capex and opex) to support 5-year plans, including planning, forecasting, monitoring.
Originate capital investment business cases to support residential and small commercial strategy and returns on investments.
Track and manage MI reporting; assist with collation and management of key data.
Manage general admin and accounting tasks such as purchase order requisitions, billing and insurance.
Support development of Centre of Excellence capabilities
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
You will be responsible for various property management and location support activities, primarily within Oxford, UK. You will identify, enhance, and follow specific processes and procedures to maximize the efficiencies of the business to which the support is being provided. In this role you will also ensure the efficient functioning of residential and small commercial investment portfolio and associated business support services, and coordinate delivery of day-to-day operational as well as project management services either internally or through an outsourced service provider.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

Possess a sound understanding of the real estate industry with strong persuasive presentation and negotiation skills.

Experience of managing real estate software systems and lease databases.
Solid understanding and education in CDM Regulations 2015, as well other health and safety and compliance responsibilities as a client.
Please note, this is a 2-year fixed term contract.
