We are seeking an experienced digital product owner to join our supportive Digital Product team within the English Language Teaching Division. The main responsibility of this role is to maximise the value of products by transforming the high-level product vision and roadmap into epics, features, and user stories, and to direct internal / external development teams to deliver these using agile techniques. The key duties in this role will include:
Manage the product backlog by breaking down the long-term roadmap into deliverables and planning iterations to meet business goals.
Create, own, manage, and communicate product backlogs.
Direct internal teams and third-party suppliers to deliver digital product change through backlog prioritisation and planning.
Provide Product Subject Matter Expertise (SME) as relevant to enhance customer experience, recommend improvements, and optimize technical efficiencies.
Mentor and coach team members across Digital Product to help them grow and develop.
Consult with existing and new opportunity customers to help them maximise the value of ELT’s digital products, services, and systems, translating technical requirements.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have/be:
Proven success in a product owner role or a digital delivery role (product manager, project manager, business analyst, platform manager etc.), working with development teams.
Ideally knowledge of education publishing market (desirable)
Experience of working with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira
Resourceful with the ability to identify and agree solutions.
Reasonable level of technical understanding, including software architectures, standards, development methods and practises.
Experience of planning and delivering continuous change and improvement in a digital product environment, including maintaining release plans.
Knowledge of how to define, test, and refine user journeys.
Communication, networking and influencing within a matrix structure: in particular to find a consensus and a way forward which balances needs.
Demonstrable understanding of platform data and usage analytics.
