We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior HR Administrator to join our Global People Services team. In this role, you will support the HR Operations Manager in driving consistency, automation, and efficiency across HR processes and be a key point of escalation and guidance for HR Administrators, ensuring the delivery of excellent employee experiences and customer service across the UK and EMEA regions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all new joiner administration across the region, ensuring compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
Act as the first point of escalation for HR Administrators, supporting task prioritization and capacity management.
Ensure all employee data is handled in line with OUP policies and data protection legislation. Maintain confidentiality and flag any risks to the HR Operations Manager.
Carry out routine data quality checks, investigating errors and implementing corrective measures.
Support higher-level HR transactions, benefits administration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR information on the People Hub and identify common themes in employee queries.
Deliver ongoing training to HR Administrators on systems, processes, platforms and SLAs to ensure successful delivery of services.
Prepare documentation for audits, subject access requests, and internal stakeholders.
Take initiative to support broader operational goals and the OUP mission.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
Essential:
Experience of HR Administration
Broad knowledge of HR processes and disciplines, and experience of working with HR Information Systems
Understanding of right to work processes and requirements
Proficiency with the MS Office suite, including Teams
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to respond rapidly to business challenges and requirements
Expert understanding of GDPR and ISDP requirements around data handling
Desirable:
Experience of HR Administration in a multi-national organization
Experience of SAP SuccessFactors and Document Management Systems
