About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join our busy Group Communications team. Reporting into the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will play a key role in delivering OUP’s Group internal communications activities, in line with the Group Communications strategy. You’ll provide quality support and consultancy to leaders within OUP, especially its Group Functions, and deliver high-profile campaigns that inform, inspire, and connect with our audiences. You will also have responsibility for contributing to Group Communications’ global planning and content management activities, which help the whole team to manage time and resources effectively.
You’ll regularly work and interact with colleagues from all over the world, and across all levels of seniority, so an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships is essential.

About You

The specific skills we’re looking for include:
Extensive experience of delivering internal or external communications. Internal comms experience preferable (but not essential)
Excellent standard of English, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate in a variety of styles
Ability to build relationships and communicate confidently with people at all levels, internally and externally
Ability to work to tight deadlines, project manage campaigns, and prioritize successfully
Initiative and drive
Excellent skills across standard software: Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook
The following skills and experiences are also desirable, but not essential:
Experience of using SharePoint or Office 365
Experience of developing video content
This is a 9 month fixed term contract covering maternity leave, with the possibility of an extension. As an internal candidate, when applying for a secondment, you must discuss the opportunity and gain approval with your line manager/department in advance of submitting an application.
