JOB VACANCY

Senior Marketing Manager, Revision and Test Practice

Learning changes lives – and we’re here to drive that change.

We support people wherever and however they want to learn, so they can achieve their learning goals and uncover new possibilities.

Today, we reach more learners than ever, in more ways than ever.

And we’re just getting started.

About the Role

The role leads the marketing strategy for OUP’s UK revision and test‑practice portfolio, with a strong focus on consumer audiences. You’ll shape compelling customer propositions, develop messaging tailored to different learning stages, and deliver innovative go‑to‑market campaigns across school, trade and direct‑to‑consumer channels. A key part of the role is driving growth by building market‑leading offerings, strengthening brand awareness, and ensuring our products stand out in a competitive consumer landscape.

You will use data‑driven insight to refine marketing plans, track performance across B2C and B2B activity, and work closely with digital product teams to optimise customer experience, retention and lifetime value. The role also manages relationships with agencies, partners, authors and influencers to ensure high‑quality delivery across all touchpoints, while overseeing budgets and ensuring strong return on investment.

As the leader of the portfolio marketing team, you’ll set a clear vision, develop talent, and champion innovation. You’ll stay ahead of consumer trends, bring fresh thinking to campaigns and channels, and contribute to the wider UK marketing strategy through customer insight and market research.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

  • Experience in developing marketing strategies and omni-channel campaigns.
  • Experience of B2B and B2C/B2B2C digital marketing.
  • Experience of people/team coaching, management and development.
  • Experience of setting targets and using marketing analytics data to measure ROI.
  • Experience of using marketing technology and CRM/customer data systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in managing a wide portfolio of projects and responsibilities.
  • Strong ability to act as a team player and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Influencing cross-functional stakeholders and managing external partners.
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize information to inform strategies and plans.
  • Knowledge of and experience in the assessment or skills testing sector is desirable.

Benefits

We care about work/life balance here at OUP. With this in mind we offer 25 days’ holiday that rises with service, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (3-days) and a 35-hour working week. We are open to discussing flexibility in respect to working patterns, dependent on role. We also have a great variety of active employee networks and societies.

We help make your money go further by contributing to your pension up to 12%, offering loans and savings schemes through our partnership with Salary Finance, in addition to travel to work schemes and access to a wide range of local discounts.

This role comes with the added benefit of a discretionary annual payment.
