This role is within the friendly and creative international marketing team who work in close collaboration with UK colleagues and the international sales and editorial teams to support schools and booksellers in over 170 countries. To find out more, visit:

The role is particularly exciting as it is responsible for marketing implementation for our flagship Oxford International programme, plus leading on the marketing for our digital product platforms. It provides the post holder with the opportunity to learn about multiple markets across multiple countries. The post holder will develop, manage and implement the strategy for key customer groups and market initiatives, in order to increase brand awareness, sales revenue and market share. This involves producing print campaigns, such as catalogues, but it also has a particular focus on digital marketing, including email, social media, PPC and Google Analytics.

A typical day might include writing marketing strategy, monitoring budgets, holding a catch up meeting with the marketing coordinator, briefing a designer on a catalogue and creating digital content for use on social media. No one day is ever the same!

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. 

About You

You will be a creative, customer-focused individual who learns quickly and has the ability to understand and respond to market need, driving the continual development of our strategy globally.

The successful candidate will have/be:

Essential:

  • Experience of working in marketing and/or publishing
  • Experience of managing a budget
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team working skills
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail without losing sight of the overall objective
  • Well organised and able to prioritise
  • Quick to learn a range of marketing processes and systems
  • Innovative

Desirable:

  • Publishing or marketing qualification (e.g. CIM)
  • Knowledge of schools market
  • Experience of managing projects
