Campaign Coordinator

Education changes lives forever. It broadens horizons, breaks down barriers, and fires imaginations. Like the University of Oxford of which we are a part, we are committed to uncompromising standards, freedom of expression, and the enrichment of lives through education. This is our motivation, our purpose, and our mission. It is why 100% of the money we make is reinvested into education and research. It is why all 6,000 of us in 52 countries care deeply about reaching more people, in more places, with world-class learning and research materials and services.

About the Role

We are looking for a digitally-minded marketer to join the UK Primary Marketing team. You will support the team by implementing, optimising and evaluating marketing activities across key issues and brands to engage our audiences, generate leads and drive sales revenue. You will also be the social media specialist in our team, and this will be a key area of focus.  This role is ideally suited to someone with a passion for education who wants to work on a broad range of inspirational products.  You will help steer and implement our social presence and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders, including the Customer Experience team, designers, authors, design agencies, freelance staff, PR and advertising agencies.

Duties of the role include:

  • Implementing marketing campaign plans set by Marketing Managers. Ensuring campaigns are launched on time, within budget and to a high standard. Communicating progress and results clearly throughout
  • Being the social media specialist within the team. Driving best practice in social media by keeping up to date. Researching and launching any new platforms, working closely with the Customer Experience team and Senior Marketing Managers. Implementing organic and paid social media activity for all high priority and complex campaigns
  • Building and updating webpages using our content management system. Ensuring that the customer journey is clear, copy and assets meet accessibility guidelines, and SEO best practice is followed
  • Creating email campaigns, selecting the most appropriate audience, templates, automation and testing. Ensuring that our data protection policies are met
  • Briefing in-house and freelance designers, videographers and animators to create campaign content considering brand guidelines
  • Managing own workload, prioritising as needed based on urgency and importance, and communicating this clearly to stakeholders
  • Collaborating with wider marketing teams across the division. Sharing best practice and improving efficiencies

We are thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working. We expect this role to require 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

You will have:

  • Experience of digital marketing, especially social media
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills
  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail
  • A willingness to continually learn and apply best practice

  • Experience of Content Management Systems, Google Analytics and email systems
  • Knowledge of the UK education market
