Educational Consultant - South London (Term Time Only)

About the role

We have a unique opportunity for a term time only Educational Consultant based in South London. This is demanding but rewarding role providing support to our customers with the right selection of products and services that will enhance teaching and learning. Our Education Division provides print and digital resources across Secondary, Primary, Trade and Children's markets, both for the UK and for customers around the world, your objective will be to drive retention and growth in your territory by offering practical solutions to teachers and learners in Secondary schools in line with their curriculum needs, through the range of those products and resources.

This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a successful and innovative team, a great move for someone with knowledge of the secondary education sector through either teaching or working within publishing. Someone who is confident to make their mark, talk at all levels and engage with senior stakeholders while able to ask questions about curricular changes and school challenges.

About you

You will work 4/5 days on the road then one day at home catching up with your team and any outstanding tasks.  Ideally you will be based in or around the territory and will be pro-active, driven and self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative with a clean driving license. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent consultative sales, presentation and networking skills and be computer literate. Appointment making experience would be an advantage, along with knowledge of the Secondary education market.

You will be able to demonstrate;

  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Experience of analysing economic factors and trends to inform sales driven activity
  • Competent in using activity reports and dashboards to monitor and drive personal performance in line with sales KPIs and targets
  • Competent in the use of various platforms to promote innovative working and increase productivity
  • Ability to think creatively, independently and flexibly
  • Highly motivated and performance driven and able to work flexibly around school requirements and availability, such as delivering presentations at after school events
  • Participate in developing new and innovative ideas for campaigns, workflows and messaging to improve personal and team performance. 

Territory; Home based, covering Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Merton, Southwark, Wandsworth, Westminster
