Enabling Systems Strategy Manager - Salesforce (Fixed Term - 12 months)

About the Role

As our Enabling Systems Manager, part of the Enabling Systems Strategy Group, you will partner with business teams across the organisation to identify and prioritise continuous improvement requests that require technology support, and be responsible for the management of business as usual (BAU) technology changes from inception through to delivery.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of Salesforce technology and the ability to work on multiple elements of work at the same time. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to take the initiative and to work in a team are essential.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Providing expert support and guidance on Salesforce Sales Cloud to stakeholders of all levels.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to analyse business requirements and working with colleagues in the OUP Technology teams to find a solution that meets business need.
  • Managing the pipeline of change requests and liaising with OUP Technology on prioritisation and delivery.
  • Actively supporting colleagues, both in the UK and overseas, in their use of Sales and Marketing systems, including but not limited to Salesforce Sales Cloud, Big Marker, and dotDigital.
  • Running regular reports and maintaining the dashboards in Salesforce.
  • Maintaining accurate business processes documents / training materials.
  • Troubleshooting system issues/bugs and, where appropriate, escalating these to our technology Service Desk.
  • Co-ordinating the User Acceptance Testing on Salesforce

We are thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working or a fully remote arrangement.

Please note that this is a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.

About You

You will have:


  • A strong background in Salesforce Sales Cloud administration
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and excellent communication skills
  • A highly organised mindset with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload
  • The ability to present complex information simply and accurately, and elicit clear information through effective questioning
  • Strong IT skills and an aptitude for learning Sales and Marketing systems
  • The ability to work independently


  • A Salesforce ADM-201 (Administration Essentials) certification
  • Previous demonstratable experience of working within a Marketing department and/or with Marketing platforms
  • Previous demonstratable experience of Salesforce Marketing Cloud or other marketing automation platforms
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR and the compliance impact for marketing systems.
  • A background in Business Analysis will be beneficial
