Finance Analyst Group Functions

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join OUP’s Group Functions division as a Finance Analyst.  Reporting in to the Group FP&A Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide financial planning and analysis (FP&A) support to OUP’s Group Functions, and finance business partnering support to certain functions.

  • FP&A includes working closely with and partnering Group Functions, Operations and Group Functions Directors to prepare and consolidate annual budgets and forecasts. Additionally, the role will be responsible for providing financial performance analysis for Group Functions, Operations and their Business Partners
  • This will include responsibility for certain Operations Centres of Excellence such as Procurement, Estates and Workplace, Supply Chain and Customer Services and tracking payroll cost and headcount

We’re all currently working from home at the moment due to COVID.  We are currently thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional looking to progress their finance career and to join the Group division. The person taking on this role will have the following skills and experience:

  • Part Qualified Accountant
  • Intermediate/Advanced Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Senior stakeholder/business partnering experience
  • Experience of budget preparation and forecasting
  • SAP experience desirable
