HR Business Partner

Our Oxford Education division is currently experiencing significant transformation, with new vigour, focus and pace coming from a greater emphasis on continuous improvement, a growth mind set, and digital innovation. With a specific focus on retaining talent and driving performance, we’re looking for an HR Business Partner to collaborate with the UK business and guide them through these changes.

You'll be able to approach problems with an open mind, using innovative ideas and creative thinking to get the best results. You'll need to become a trusted and credible partner for managers - really integrating yourself with their team, and being someone they fully involve in their people decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Build and utilise a deep understanding of stakeholder’s teams to deliver the best HR support possible
  • Work with managers on resource planning, organisation design and restructure, role definition and job design
  • Support managers with all aspects of the performance management cycle
  • Work with the OE management teams to ensure that appropriate training & development plans are created and that succession planning and talent development activities are conducted to meet the business needs
  • Support managers with casework, liaising with legal experts when necessary, to resolve employee issues fairly and effectively
  • Work with Group Reward to coordinate the annual pay review and bonus schemes for OE UK in line with Divisional and Company schemes and timetables
  • Contribute to HR policy development in the UK as required
  • Participate in a range of Group HR projects in order to improve the general HR support to OE in the UK

About You

We’re looking for someone willing to get stuck in and work closely with key stakeholders, quickly building relationships to become a trusted advisor. You’ll also have:

  • Deep and broad HR knowledge (CIPD qualification or training, or equivalent)
  • Experience providing generalist HR advice and guidance
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation and practices
  • Proven experience of operating independently and ability to build good working relationships with senior managers
  • Experience of working for an international organisation
  • The ability to analyse and interpret quantitative and qualitative data and to effectively manage projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A measurable track record in the areas of management coaching, talent management, and employee relations
