Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) is responsible for the delivery of all IT Services needed to run the Press, including Infrastructure, End User Services & Enterprise Applications. The Back Office team are responsible for the design, delivery and operational performance of the portfolio of applications which serve our Finance, Group Functions, Operations & Publishing teams including responsibility for integration services.
About the Role
This is an exciting time of change at OUP and an opportunity to play a critical role of being the key interface between the business. Architecture, application, infrastructure and service operations team. You’ll have the opportunity to shape and deliver the integration strategy and effective operation of our Integration Services. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring that our integration services are designed, developed, and maintained in line with best practice and that the services are running optimally, changes delivered to time, cost and quality and are fully supported by a fit-for-purpose organisation
Managing the budget allocated to integration services
Responsible for the performance and availability of Integration Platforms and associated environments
Ensuring that all technical documentation is in place and maintained to agreed standards
Working closely with Architecture with a shared responsibility for creating the strategic roadmap for integration services. Ensuring both maintenance and functional requirements are considered, planning and sequences with the support of key business stakeholders
Owning the risks, issues and associated actions to drive performance and quality improvements across their services
Ensuring the delivery of change to integration services, driven by project, value stream or BAU enhancements
Lead a small team.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys collaborating with different stakeholders, someone who is able to influence at all levels, gaining commitment to deliverables. You will also have the following:
Essential:
A deep understanding of integration technologies (Our current technology stack is primarily Apache Camel hosted on Azure) and how they can be developed adhering to best practise to meet business requirements
A good understanding of how an IT organisation works to delivery short, medium & long term outcomes
Effective communicator in various settings including one to one and groups
A strong understanding of IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL) principles to drive continual improvement
Strategy planning, enterprise portfolio development and management experience
Knowledge of business analysis and development methodologies.
Desirable:
Publishing experience
Experience using Apache Camel, Biztalk Legacy integrations and/or IBM Sterling for EDI
Relevant technical qualification
Team management experience.
