International Marketing Manager x2

As part of one of the world’s great universities, at Oxford we’re driven by a deep conviction that learning enriches lives, which shows in everything we do. Our vast range of books, learning resources and educational support is developed by the brightest minds to inspire every learner to achieve their very best.

About the role

These roles are particularly exciting as they provide the post holder with the opportunity to learn about multiple markets across multiple countries. The post holder will develop, manage and implement the marketing strategy for key resources, customer groups and market initiatives, in order to increase brand awareness, sales revenue and market share. This involves producing print campaigns, such as catalogues, but it also has a particular focus on digital marketing, including email, social media, PPC and Google Analytics.

A typical day might include writing marketing strategy, monitoring budgets, holding a catch up meeting with the marketing coordinator, briefing a designer on a catalogue and creating digital content for use on social media. No one day is ever the same!

One role works on the UK secondary products sold into international markets and the other works on Oxford resources for Cambridge exams. One of the roles will have one direct report. More information on our products can be found here:

These are permanent full time roles but we would welcome applications from those wishing to work 4 days per week.

About you

You will be a creative, customer-focused individual who learns quickly and has the ability to understand and respond to market need, driving the continual development of our marketing strategy globally.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of managing a budget
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team working skills
  • Ability to prioritise a heavy workload with maximum attention to detail
  • Good presentation skills
  • An innovative and creative side
  • Experience of managing projects

  • Publishing or marketing qualifications (e.g. CIM)
  • Knowledge of the schools market
  • Line management/supervisory experience

We care about work/life balance here at OUP; with this in mind we offer 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), and a 35-hour working week, along with the flexibility to start and finish late or early as required. Working from home once a week will also be possible if required in these roles.

Our pension contribution is up to 11%.

Wellbeing is really important to us so we also have a wide range of facilities, including a canteen that serves a wide variety of healthy and delicious meals, a subsidised onsite gym and subsidised coffee shops.

We believe that the skills you bring to OUP are just a starting point. We want you to have the opportunity to expand your abilities, and to innovate and develop in areas which both interest you, and support your aspirations.
