Production Assistant

The Education Division provides books and resources across Primary, Secondary, Trade and Children's markets, both for the UK and for customers around the world. We are passionately committed to our mission to educate and inspire through book, board and screen.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the busy Schoolbooks Production team.

In the role, you will be responsible for managing the production of a large number of reprints, alongside supporting the team in a variety of administrative tasks. The role will also involve liaising with external suppliers and colleagues (such as Demand Planning, Design, Sales and Marketing, and Editorial departments) in order to supply finished products in a smooth, timely and cost-effective manner.

The Schoolbook Production team are not, however, involved with developing product content.

About you:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following –

  • excellent organisational and time management skills
  • good administration skills
  • numeracy and literacy, with good attention to detail
  • ability to communicate information concisely and accurately
  • ability to work under pressure and be deadline focused
  • good team player

Experience using Excel is desirable (although not essential)

GJC Level: 3 (for internal use only)
