The Continuous Improvement & Technology Team within OUP’s Academic Sales function provides system and process improvement support to range of global users including sales representatives, processing operatives, customer-facing and sales support staff.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity in our Academic Sales function, acting as the key interface between the business and Technology for delivery of Salesforce improvements, and supporting day-to-day activities through management of a team of two Salesforce Admin Assistants.
Responsibilities include:
Acting as Product Owner for all Salesforce; providing system and business process expertise to ensure solutions meet user requirements and adhere to best practices, and providing assistance with the development and testing of solutions where appropriate.
Through management of the Salesforce Admin Assistants, ensuring BAU processes such as data loading, report-building and issue investigation are executed ‘right first time’ and within agreed SLA expectations.
Acting as Salesforce expert user for the Academic Sales Team, guiding management and user groups on Salesforce best practice and highlighting opportunities to exploit Salesforce features to improve process efficiency.
Represent Academic Sales on press-wide Salesforce steering groups to ensure the needs of Academic Sales are represented in the development of OUP’s strategic CRM roadmap and best-practice principles.
Monitor and maintain external integrations with Salesforce, working with Global Technology to troubleshoot issues, and ensuring integration impacts are understood and mitigated as part of any system changes.
Use Flows to improve and build new workflows that continually improve process efficiency and maximise customer-facing time for sales representatives.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
To be successful in this role you must:
Be a certified Salesforce Administrator
Have a minimum of two years administrative experience with Salesforce.
Have experience with Apex DataLoader, Process Builder and workflows.
Have direct line management experience.
Be adept at identifying and communicating business requirements.
Experience developing custom applications using Apex and Visualforce
Previous experience with CRM migration projects
Previous experience with CPQ implementation projects
Experience migrating Salesforce Classic to Lightning
Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL tools
