Working in partnership with senior stakeholders across the organization, you will build inclusive strategies to engage the talent we need to succeed. As ambassadors of our brand you will ensure candidates receive a good experience, influencing all those involved in the hiring journey so they know how to help.

As a small team we work flexibly across divisions and locations so you will have opportunities to work on a wide variety of hires, demonstrating your direct sourcing capabilities and use of market insight to influence decisions. The team also work on a number of projects from running the internship programme, leading the annual internal careers fairs and developing apprenticeship offerings to supporting systems deployment and IR35 assurance. We are also beginning to work more closely with HR colleagues around the globe to create a Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise that can support the 52 countries we operate in.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze recruitment data to make recommendations in recruitment planning and sourcing
  • Design and implement efficient sourcing strategies
  • Manage and prioritize multiple searches, projects and relationships to tight deadlines with high volumes
  • Deliver diverse shortlists via direct sourcing, leveraging the latest sourcing techniques
  • Build and maintain talent pools of pre-screened candidates
  • Provide an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience

This is a full time role however we’re happy to explore flexibility within this such as part time or some home-working.

About You

Having already worked in recruitment, either in-house or agency, you’ll have:

  • proven experience in directly sourcing diverse shortlists and proactively developing the future talent pipeline
  • strong stakeholder management skills, and the confidence and credibility to communicate with managers at all levels of seniority
  • the ability to lead selection interviews for selected roles and ensure appropriate questions are used to determine a candidates ability to meet the job criteria
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • strong organizational skills with the ability to manage your own administration to tight deadlines

We care about work/life balance here at OUP. With this in mind we offer 25 days’ holiday that rises with service, plus bank holidays and Christmas closure (3-days) and a 35-hour working week. We are open to discussing flexibility in respect of working hours and the use of technology to support regular remote working, dependent on role. We also have an on-site gym with subsidised membership fees and a great variety of active employee networks and societies.
