Assistant Marketing Manager

The ELT (English Language Teaching) Division is a global leader in the provision of multimedia English language teaching and learning materials. Operating in over 100 countries, it reaches millions of teachers and students each year to support the development of English language proficiency.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Marketing Manager to support ELT’s growing Assessment portfolio.

As a member of the ELT Customer Experience Marketing team, you will support the development and ongoing implementation of competitive value propositions for ELT’s Assessment portfolio. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders in diverse functions and locations to support growth and market share globally. You will work closely with the development teams to market assessment products that support the teaching and learning of English.

The successful candidate will:

  • contribute to the value proposition development process including USPs, product positioning, and key sales messages
  • champion the customer voice in discussions with various ELT functions, working closely with the development teams to ensure the product delivers a great customer experience
  • write clear and persuasive copy based on the key sales messages and ensure consistency in usage across different channels
  • work with local markets to refine messages where required to meet local needs
  • coordinate appropriate research to support understanding of customers, competitors and key markets
  • use data and market intelligence to help come up with a strategy to drive sales and usage of ELT products and services
  • contribute to the development of marketing plans with clear objectives and KPIs
  • support with coordinating marketing activities in line with agreed strategy and messages

About You

You should possess excellent communication skills and proven experience in a marketing environment. To succeed, you will need to demonstrate:

  • a marketing qualification or relevant practical experience
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise successfully
  • ability to assimilate and synthesize information effectively
  • experience of the marketing planning process
  • ability to act as a team player and foster a collaborative, team environment
  • ability to think creatively and demonstrate effective problem solving skills
  • Desirable: Knowledge of and experience in the ELT or Education sector, particularly in relation to assessment
