About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Project Manager to join our Publishing and Content Operations team. The role will be responsible for project managing the production and delivery of a range of ELT products in order to ensure that ELT publishes cost-effective and innovative products that enhance its position as market leader.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
Understand, analyse and capture the aims and requirements of the publishing teams to confirm product specifications which can be used to develop products
Specify, budget for, schedule, and project manage print and/or digital projects in collaboration with cross-functional, internal/external teams, so that they are delivered on time, to budget, and to the agreed level of quality
Manage the business relationships with suppliers at a project level in order to deliver projects successfully within time and budget, determining the most cost-effective solution from approved suppliers, and monitoring performance
Set up and maintain project communications to cross-functional teams, by accurately recording specification, schedule and financial data on divisional production management systems to ensure effective communication of up-to-date information to business
Define product acceptance criteria and ensure that project quality criteria are met, so that all products are fit for purpose and of appropriate quality
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current technology, relevant standards and divisional best practice to ensure that innovative and cost-effective solutions are produced
Maintain a process of continuous improvement in ELT’s processes, monitoring and improving processes and outcomes, and communicating changes to all key stakeholders in ELT so that all relevant parties are kept informed on processes and improvements
Mentor other team members so that staff are motivated and deliver cost-effective and innovative products within time and budget
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Essential:
Significant experience project managing relevant print and/or digital projects
Experience creating and shaping digital and/or print product concept, functionality and design
Understanding of digital authoring technologies and delivery platforms, and/or manufacturing and procurement processes
An appreciation of the end-to-end lifecycle of products, from concept, through delivery and revisions, to out of print
Desirable:
Formal project management qualification, e.g. PRINCE2
ELT experience/formal qualification/teaching experience or relevant publishing related experience/qualification
Proficient in the use of MS Office
