About the Role
As our new FP&A - Senior Data and Insights Manager, you will drive development and delivery of the financial performance reports in the most efficient and effective way, making use of existing technologies and data platforms. In conjunction with ensuring that relevant data flows between systems are understood and maintained.
Duties will include:
Provide guidance and subject matter expertise regarding the design of financial performance reporting and KPI reporting
Responsible for robust data management, and delivery of timely, clear, accurate and actionable insight
Recommending areas for change or improvement, based on inferences made from the data
Drive improvements to data collation process through automation and advanced usage of available tools
Maintain appropriate controls and procedures to ensure compliance with group standards and best practice for data quality and consistency
Established standardised datasets with efficiently updated reports on an agreed schedule
Assist with the implementation out of SAP S/4 HANA playing a key role in reporting working group to ensure that the team transition to the new system smoothly.
Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to help drive future improvements to data, reporting and insights tools.
Develop a strong understanding of the financial systems and how data flows between them, working with other finance teams and technical teams.
Understand data quality issues affecting FP&A performance and promote the importance of data quality across Finance, working with other OUP functions as required.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About You
Essential:
Experience with Data management and BI tools (in particular Power BI)
Demonstrable expertise in Microsoft Power Platform
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
Able to think and communicate strategically
Able to provide coaching and mentoring to more junior staff
Desirable:
Experience of managing a team
Service delivery and customer service experience
Communication skills – verbal and written
