Marketing Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic Marketing Analyst to join our Market, Customer Experience & Insights team within Education’s Marketing group. This is a diverse and busy role, and you will be involved in providing marketing data analysis capability to Oxford Education UK (OEUK) and Oxford Education International (OEINT) marketing teams that will drive a more data-driven and customer-centric approach to marketing

In this role you will have an impact on the short- to medium-term goals through the provision of effective marketing performance metrics which drive data-driven campaign planning and improved targeting capabilities.

You’ll need to be able to work collaboratively and develop positive and effective relationships internally across the Press and with external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Supply marketing data analysis capability and performance metrics to inform data-driven campaign planning and improve targeting capabilities.
  • Implement Google Data Studio, Google Analytics and UTM best practice to ensure that marketing and customer experience stakeholders are utilizing key marketing analytics tools effectively.
  • Provide analysis on customer behaviour across all educational platforms to inform service improvements and secure renewals.
  • Implement event tagging across ecommerce and educational platforms to inform marketing and product planning and enhancements, working with external agency.

We’re all currently working from home at the moment due to COVID. We are currently thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working. We expect this role to require approximately 2 days per week in the Oxford office. 

About You

If you are an enthusiastic self-starter with a passion for marketing and data analysis and excited about working with us then this could be a great opportunity for you. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working with insight tools such as Power BI and Google Data Studio.
  • Strong understanding of Google Analytics and its use for performance measurement.
  • Experience of using keyword research tools to inform campaigns.
  • Experience working with marketing platform data such as Facebook, AdWords, Twitter
  • Experience of using Hotjar to gain sentiment analysis.
  • Experience of delivering marketing analysis capabilities within an in-house marketing team or agency.
  • Marketing Qualification e.g. CIM


  • Experience of Google Tag Manager to implement tags for performance measurement.
