Marketing Manager, Global Library Marketing

About the Role

The academic publishing landscape is rapidly changing and as the new Marketing Manager for Global Library Marketing, you will be part of a team that is at the centre of supporting major publishing and business developments. Whether developing new ways to engage our customers, bringing new products and business models to market, or testing and experimenting with new digital marketing strategies, your work and the team you will manage will both deliver and support critical institutional revenue streams.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a marketing strategy for the global library market ensuring alignment with divisional and sales team priorities
  • Manage and develop global library marketing campaigns to drive institutional sales growth
  • Review and approve content and campaign assets created by team members and provide feedback and guidance
  • Manage global digital advertising programs and strategies and drive future experiments and strategies for these channels
  • Manage and oversee our global library communication channels including our global librarian newsletters and our librarian-focused content on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn
  • Conduct and present regular campaign and channel analysis, providing insights and direction on future marketing efforts
  • Manage a global team with up to 3 members
  • Manage and assist with global planning, budget management, and campaign reporting

We are thinking through how we use our offices in the future and are open to discussing flexibility within this such as a blend of office and home working. We expect this role to require a minimum of 2 days per month in the Oxford office.

About You

You will have:

  • Drive, energy and the determination to succeed
  • The ability to learn quickly and proactively seek out information
  • Excellent communication skills and the aptitude to build networks and work with colleagues at all levels
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders in diverse locations and functions
  • The capacity to think strategically about products, markets and campaigns
  • Significant experience in a marketing role
  • Experience in leading or managing projects, initiatives, or teams
  • Experience of B2B marketing, academic publishing and the institutional research landscape is desirable
