Reward Manager, APAC

About the Role

Our highly successful global HR team are searching for a Reward Manager - this position offers you a real opportunity to make your mark and take your career to the next level.

This role will give you the opportunity to drive the reward philosophy for APAC, ensuring that it is competitive with the current market and aligned to our global reward agenda, contributing to our global principles in supporting OUP to deliver its mission. You’ll identify, update or rethink how we compensate and reward our employees by assessing competitiveness, ensuring regulatory compliance, and recommending how we prioritise our spending.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving a consistent evaluation approach across APAC region
  • Providing competitive insights, salary benchmarking and best practices to local HR
  • Building a strong relationship with the business and advising on all reward matters
  • Leading and rolling out key projects across APAC region

As well as focussing on the APAC region specifically there a need to work globally on activities such as salary surveys, annual salary increase processes and the pay administration process.

About You

With some experience of covering the APAC region already, you’ll have strong reward data analytical skills.

Having already operated at a manager level, or looking to take the next step, you’ll be comfortable with engaging senior stakeholders. The role will have a strong focus on data analytics and therefore you’ll need to be comfortable working with, analysing, and drawing recommendations from reward data sets. You’ll also have

  • excellent attention to detail
  • effective planning and organisation skills and the ability to prioritise effectively when under pressure
  • experience of working to tight deadlines
  • the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team and build effective working relationships with internal and external clients


  • CIPD qualification, (or working towards)
  • experience of preparing job evaluations
  • experience of using SAP/Success factors
